Research shows that young breast cancer survivors’ emotional well-being is not adequately addressed during treatment, which focuses on healing the body. To improve their quality of life, young survivors need time for self-care, in-depth discussions on topics that help them on the path to recovery, and connection with peers going through similar experiences. This is just some of what occurs at our Renew Restore Retreat each year, an event for young breast cancer survivors.  Activities promote bonding, social support, and healing interaction with women from across our service areas to further develop and strengthen individual and group ties.
